Timeline

• Course dates should be set and secured at least 3 months in advance.
• Secure a location for the course. Look for a venue with plenty of space for moving, natural lighting and enough chairs to place in a semi-circle. A small gym, large cafeteria, community center, or school/church commons works well.
• When sending or giving out registration forms, include a flyer.
• Begin marketing (see ideas listed below).
• A $95 non-refundable deposit is to be mailed in with each registration.
• Secure a home for lodging Jon, pre-arranging equitable payment (e.g. free scholarship to attend workshop, or a free private session for host) in exchange for room and board.
• Secure transportation for pick up (30 minutes after arrival) and drop off (at least 2 hours before departure) at the airport.
• Secure transportation driving to and from the workshops, and have a location ready for private healing appointments (if requested).

Costs

• Both the sponsor and Jon keep track of expenses, which are paid from the gross proceeds. For the sponsor, this includes telephone calls, paper, markers, additional copies of manuals, and any fees to rent the group space.
  Jon covers his own transportation and parking costs, meals during travel, manuals, and play materials.
• The sponsor (for courses not run by organizations) receives free tuition, expenses and 25% of the gross proceeds after subtracting expenses. In exchange for accommodations, hosts often request a scholarship to a workshop or a free private session.

Marketing

• Jon provides the flyer, course description, biography, testimonials, press release, articles and any other promotional materials requested by the sponsor.
• The course will be listed on this website, under upcoming events. Coordinate with your networks, send out promotion emails, issue a press release and/or an article to your local alternative/healing journals or parent/therapist association.
• Jon can supply a Marketing Guide which will assist you in attracting participants to the workshop.

Needs for the Workshop

• Bring a portable CD music player, an easel, paper, felt tip pens/markers, yoga mats and bottled water.
• Bring a receipt book and a sign-in form.
• Ask participants to bring their own snacks.
• Jon provides the play materials, music, manual, evaluation forms, and certificates.

How to Create a Successful Experience

• Set intentions to draw at least 35 participants for the workshop.
• Heal any "trying" or worried energy by clearing blockages through self-healing methods. Maintain a positive image of the workshop filled with joyful participants.
• Offer the opportunity to people and trust the outcome.
• Jon requires a minimum of 20 committed participants in order to offer the workshop. Organizations that pay a daily fee are required to have at least 10 participants.

Cost Breakdown for Workshops

• $195 to $250 per participant. $295 per partnered couples (not two people signing up together). Prices are quoted in US dollars.
• Hours: 9am to 12:30pm, lunch from 12:30pm to 1:30pm and finish at 4:30pm, over two days. (Hours are flexible.)
• Limited to 40 participants, including sponsors and instructor.
• Organizations: $2350 per day plus instructor's expenses.
